Calabar, Cross River State September 15, 2026 The CEO of Brightflow Conglomerate, Dr. Anie Iton, has joined other key stakeholders and women entrepreneurs at the ongoing 2 Day Training on Export Readiness for Women Owned Businesses, organised by the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Cross River State Coordinating Office, in collaboration with the Cross River Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (CRSMEDA). The programme, which commenced on Monday, September 14, and concludes today, Tuesday, September 15, 2026, is taking place at Obudu Hall, EDC, Prof. Eyo Ita House, Marian Road, Calabar.[[ Empowering Women for Export. The training is themed “Empowering Women for Export: From Local Production to Global Markets”, highlighting the growing importance of preparing Nigerian businesses, particularly women-owned enterprises, to compete successfully in international markets. Participants are being exposed to practical knowledge covering export readiness, packaging and branding, regulatory compliance, product quality, market accessibility and available export support programmes. The programme also places emphasis on reducing export rejections by helping entrepreneurs understand the requirements of regulatory bodies such as NAFDAC and the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON). BRIGHTFLOW CONGLOMERATE’S COMMITMENT Dr. Anie Iton’s participation demonstrates Brightflow Conglomerate’s continued interest in entrepreneurship, international trade, logistics and business development. For businesses seeking to move products from local markets to international destinations, understanding the complete export process is essential. Beyond producing quality products, entrepreneurs need the right knowledge of documentation, compliance, packaging, logistics and market requirements. As a company operating within the logistics and trade ecosystem, Brightflow Conglomerate recognises the important role that efficient logistics plays in connecting Nigerian businesses to opportunities beyond the country’s borders. A STEP TOWARDS GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS The NEPC CRSMEDA initiative comes at an important time as Nigerian entrepreneurs continue to explore opportunities within the African and global markets. Women-owned businesses represent an important part of Nigeria’s entrepreneurial landscape, and providing them with access to export knowledge and institutional support can create new opportunities for business expansion, job creation and economic growth. The training therefore serves as a valuable platform for women entrepreneurs to learn, network and better understand what it takes to transform locally produced goods into products that can meet international market expectations. For Brightflow Conglomerate, the message is clear: strong local businesses are the foundation of a stronger global economy. Dr. Iton’s engagement at the programme further reflects the company’s vision of supporting meaningful conversations and partnerships that contribute to the growth of Nigerian businesses and strengthen the connection between local enterprise, logistics and global trade. As the programme draws to a close, the focus remains on equipping women entrepreneurs with the confidence, knowledge and resources required to take their businesses beyond local boundaries. From local production to global markets, the future of Nigerian enterprise is full of possibilities. BRIGHTFLOW CONGLOMERATE Connecting Businesses. Creating Opportunities.
